BioComp®

BioComp® is the biopolymer family developed by Microtec, a company of the Sirmax Group specialised in the formulation of biobased and biocompostable masterbatches and compounds. The range includes compounds based on starch biopolymers, co-polyesters (PBAT), polylactic acid (PLA) and polybutylene succinate (PBS), sourced from renewable and/or fossil raw materials.

These biocompounds make it possible to obtain products with characteristics similar to, or even improved compared with, conventional plastics, while remaining 100% biodegradable and compostable in accordance with the EN 13432 European standard. They are suitable for both flexible packaging and rigid products manufactured by injection moulding or extrusion/thermoforming.
